Conditions - Notes - Reasons
|| Applying the policy in paragraphs 124, 127, 128, 130, 190, 192, 193,194 & 196 of the NPPF, and having regard to the advice in the Historic England advice notes, the proposed extensions by virtue of their location, size, design and relationship to the host building would cause harm to the significance of the designated heritage asset. The proposal would contribute to the cumulative impact of successive extensions by detracting from the modest character, form and scale of the original building. The proposed architectural detailing would be an oversized and incongruous addition which would relate poorly to the existing cottage. The proposal is contrary to JCS Policy BN5, Saved Local Plan policy GN2 (criteria A & E) and policy ENV7 of the Settlements and Countryside Local Plan (Part 2) for Daventry District 2018/2019 (Examination held in June 2019). The level of harm would be less than substantial in NPPF terms. There are no public benefits arising from the scheme that would outweigh the harm that has been identified.
